Source of the Nile
Where the Nile leaves Lake Victoria on its journey to the Mediterranean — a short boat ride from Jinja town.
A small boat takes you to the point where the river begins, past fishermen and kingfishers. Jinja itself has colonial-era streets, markets and riverside cafés, and is the base for rafting, kayaking and bungee on the Nile.
