About KOZDA

The distance is the hard part.

Arranging anything in Uganda from abroad usually means relying on somebody's cousin, a phone number passed on by a friend, and hoping. Kozda Diaspora Services exists so it does not have to.

We are based in Kampala. We arrange seven kinds of service — travel, transport, accommodation, shopping and errands, events, family and personal support, and property verification — through suppliers we have checked, managed by coordinators who answer to you.

The people who use KOZDA are usually arranging something that matters and cannot be there for it: a bed for family flying in for a funeral, a check on a parent living alone, a look at a plot of land before the money goes. The common thread is not the service. It is needing to trust somebody two continents away.

So the platform is built around evidence rather than assurance. Everything below is something it enforces, not something we say.

How we work

Trust, made checkable.

Suppliers are approved per service, not listed

A transport firm approved to drive cannot take a land inspection. Approval requires business registration, a trading licence, owner identification and payout details on file — and the platform refuses to approve without them.

One named person is accountable

Every booking is assigned a KOZDA coordinator from the moment it is made, and their name is on it. They manage the supplier; you deal with them. Suppliers never message you directly.

Work is evidenced, not asserted

Receipts for what is bought, photographs of what is done, and a written report for a land inspection. A shopping booking cannot be handed over until every purchased item carries a receipt.

Money is held until the work is done

Payment sits with KOZDA rather than going straight to the supplier, and a problem reported on a booking is reviewed before anything is released.
