Terms of service

What we take on.

KOZDA arranges services in Uganda on your behalf. This sets out what that means on both sides.

Last updated 20 September 2026

Awaiting legal review. This describes accurately what KOZDA does today, and is not yet a lawyer-reviewed policy. Questions about it go to mkceo@kozdadiasporaservices.com.

1. Who this is between

These terms are between you and Kozda Diaspora Services Ltd of P.O Box 210766, Lukwanga Muyenje, Kampala, Uganda. Using the site or the app means accepting them.

2. Our role

KOZDA arranges and manages services delivered by suppliers in Uganda — hotels, drivers, surveyors, caterers, carers. We are not the supplier. What we do is choose them, approve them for the specific service they deliver, manage them on your behalf, hold your money until the work is done, and stay accountable to you for the outcome.

A named KOZDA coordinator is assigned to every booking. You deal with them; they deal with the supplier.

3. Booking and price

You see the price before you commit. Prices are shown in your own currency alongside the Uganda shillings figure; the shilling price is the real one and the conversion is indicative, at the rate shown when you book. That rate is fixed to your booking and does not move afterwards.

Some services are quoted as an estimate rather than a fixed price — shopping on your behalf, and event coordination. For these you are charged what was actually spent plus our fee, and you see both.

4. Changing or cancelling

You can change most bookings yourself up to a cut-off that differs by service, and the site tells you what it is before you commit to anything. After that, message your coordinator.

Cancellation fees differ by service and by how close to the date you are. You are shown the exact fee before you confirm a cancellation, never after.

5. Evidence

Where we buy something on your behalf, you get a receipt or photograph for every item. Where we inspect a property, you get a written report. Where work is completed, you get photographs. These stay attached to your booking.

6. When something goes wrong

Tell your coordinator first — most things are fixed fastest by the person already holding the job. If that does not resolve it, report a problem from the booking and KOZDA will review it before any money is released to the supplier.

7. What we ask of you

Give us accurate information — an address that does not exist, or a date that is wrong, is a job that cannot be done. Where a service involves another person, such as care for a relative, you confirm you are entitled to arrange it on their behalf.

8. Limits

We are responsible for arranging services competently and for the money you place with us. We are not responsible for things genuinely outside anyone's control — weather, road closures, government action.

The financial limits of our liability, the governing law, and how disputes are finally resolved are part of the legal review this page is waiting on. We would rather leave that visibly open than print a clause nobody has checked.
