Mount Elgon National Park
One of the world's largest volcanic calderas, with gentler climbs than the Rwenzori and caves to explore.
Wagagai peak (4,321 m) is reached without technical climbing over four to five days. The caldera, hot springs and ancient caves once mined by elephants for salt make it varied walking.
