A papyrus swamp on Lake Victoria and the best chance of seeing the prehistoric-looking shoebill.
Local guides paddle you through the channels at first light, when the shoebill is most often seen fishing. A half day from Kampala or Entebbe, and easily paired with a flight arrival.
